UPFM was in a really unique position. A few years earlier, it had been one of the top radio stations in New Zealand. After being AFK for about 5 years, UPFM was now going to be 100% digital. This meant it had to make up for the lack of offline presence. Being well known it’s fans that included content creators for UPFM in the form of dj’s, photographers, contributors and influencers, had high hopes and expectations of its return. Heck, it was the Facebook fan pages popping up that really motivated the rebuild of UPFM. It didn’t have to come back too crazy, it just couldn’t be a let down. This is a breakdown of the development process.
